Care Community will assist you to update annual Basic Life Support, Manual Handling, Mandatory Reporting/Elder Abuse, Working with Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Clients along with Working with Clients with Challenging Behaviours (Dementia).
You will also have access to discounted First Aid Courses by being a member of Care Community Nursing Services.
Q2) How do I become a nurse or carer?

You will need to contact the Universities or Adult Learning Centres in your state to find out more information on the courses on offer to study Nursing.
Q3) I have booked an appointment with Care Community Nursing Services, what do I need to bring with me to ensure that I can start earning money as soon as possible?
Answer
There are SEVEN important items you need to ensure you bring with you to your appointment (listed below). Having these documents will allow Care Community Nursing Services to assess your skills for the best possible work placements, process your application efficiently and ensure that you are earning extra $ as soon as possible.
- Registration documents and Post Graduate Certificates (RN) or Certificate III (PCW)
- Up to date resume
100 points of identification, one of which must be:
- Passport: 70 points each
- Birth certificate: 70 points each
- Citizenship papers: 70 points each
Remaining ID may include:
- Drivers licence: 40 points (essential if your are required to travel between multiple sites)
- Registration: 30 points
- Bankcard/visa: 20 points
- Medicare card: 10 points
- Tax document: 10 points
- Recent bill: 10 points
- Bank Account details, including your BSB and account number
- Tax File Number
- Superannuation information including account number and name of fund
Documentation specific to Community Care:
- Copy of your current drivers licence
- Copy of your current registration (paper work)
- Copy of your motor vehicle insurance
- Referees x 2 - These must be clinical referees that have worked with you within the past 1.5 years in a capacity senior to yourself. Nursing Australia require your referees work contact phone number. We suggest you contact your referees the day before your appointment to ensure they are not on leave and are aware that they will be contacted within the next 3 working days.

Care Community Nursing Offices are shared with Nursing Australia all across Australia.
Q5) If I am using my car for work, do I need to have insurance and car registration?
Answer
Yes, you will be required to show evidence of this at the time of your interview along with your current driver’s licence and car registration.
Q6) Will I be provided an induction into Community Care?
Answer
Yes, all members are provided with an induction into Community care which will be booked in at the time of your interview.
Q7) How much will I get paid?
Answer
The pay rates vary from state to state. Your local Nurse Consultant will discuss this further with you at your joining interview.
Q8) Will Care Community Nursing Services provide me with a reference?
Answer:
Care Community Nursing Services can not provide you with a verbal reference, however on your request we can organise a statement of service or a letter of employment to be posted to you.
Q9) Do I need qualifications to work as a PCA/PSA/Nursing Assistant?
Answer
Yes, to work as a PCA/PSA/Nursing Assistant you will require a certificate III in a healthcare discipline. However, to provide domestic assistance in the Community, experience in providing domestic assistance to a relative or friend then will be considered this as well.

No, it is free of charge to join.
Q11) How much experience do I require to join Care Community Nursing Services?
Answer
In order to ensure that you are not placed in an unsuitable environment or situation, all potential members are required to have 6 months full time experience in Community Care and 12 months full time experience (post qualification) in Aged Care.
Q12) Do I have to work a certain number of shifts to remain a member of Care Community Nursing Services?
Answer:
